"How do we take that security that Wiley can deliver because of our scale and start to deliver it to customers? Taking a skill we developed in-house and taking it to customers? That's a great challenge to have and to be part of," he says.

In an interview with Information Security Media Group as part of the CyberEdBoard's ongoing Profiles in Leadership series, recorded at RSA Conference 2022, Mack also discusses:

  • The areas of security and technology leadership he is most passionate about;
  • Aligning security investments with the company's biggest business risks and goals;
  • Other top challenges in the CISO role today.

Mack has led global teams across a wide range of companies, from large financial companies such as Experian to innovative tech companies such as Etsy. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of technology leadership roles, ranging from vice president of operations and applications for Pearson Education to CIO for a startup in the streaming media space.
