HDFC CISO Explains the Importance of DevSecOps and Cyber Threat Intelligence
When Kalpesh Doshi first started out in cybersecurity, some co-workers mistakenly thought he was a security guard. Today, he has two decades of experience in information security, security audits, risk management and data protection, regulations, global standards and compliance.

Doshi, now chief information security officer at HDFC Life and CyberEdboard executive member, began his career journey with a product-based company, moved to a core IT service provider and finally entered the financial services sector. He has a thirst for emerging technologies and practices.
"DevSecOps is going to hold a dominant role." Doshi says. "It is like an elephant in the room for which everyone has a different definition. But to put it in layman’s language, it is like 'shift left.' It means, right from the time that an idea is conceived to developing a code, you embed security as part of the culture. Security is not just the job of a CISO but every person in the organization."
