Enhancing Incident Readiness Through Innovative Training
Shishir Kumar Singh Discusses the Importance of Private Collaboration Programs
Organizations must move beyond traditional training methods and look to gamification with more real-time scenarios to help teams across the organization prepare for a major incident, said Shishir Kumar Singh, group head of information security at Singapore-based Advanced Intelligence Group.

"It is not about the traditional approach of providing basic theoretical training. We have to make training interactive as much as possible. We have gamification for our training exercise. It gives a long-lasting impression when people take note of things diligently," Singh said.
Other successful approaches to incident preparedness include creating a security champion program that trains key members from every team on security, as well as a shadowing program that allows team members from other parts of the organization to spend time with the security team and participate in security incident response.
