With the growing dominance of AI and concerns for its responsible use, is it time to move toward AI ethics by design? Sameer Ahirrao, founder of Ardent Privacy, explained how privacy and regulatory verticals should - and will - shape the future of AI.

"AI ethics is based on what data you feed to those models, which are basically running on all those algorithms. It's a lot about training. And if that data is biased itself, it can have a large impact," he warned.

In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2023, Ahirrao also discussed:

  • The role of data governance in responsible use of AI;
  • The value of regulatory sandboxes;
  • How to minimize the impact of personal data use and privacy in AI-based models.

Ahirrao has 22 years of experience building effective enterprise security programs. Prior to founding Ardent, he implemented, engineered and audited security and privacy programs at Symantec, Deloitte and Lockheed Martin.
